New Beginning Weightlifting Club
New Beginning Weightlifting has been operating in Castle Hill, Sydney since November 2014. Our fantastic training facilities have been specifically designed and set up to help improve your weightlifting technique, fitness and strength. With the help of our highly skilled and qualified coaches you can start learning today.
Our Facility
Our AWF registered Weightlifting Club in Castle Hill is equipped with Uesaka Weightlifting gear, 4 Weightlifting Platforms, Gymnastics equipment, Jerk Blocks, Climbing Ropes, Strongman Equipment, GHD’s and all the necessary extras for high performance. Our specifically designed programs are for beginners and competitive lifters.

Meet the Coaches

Vanessa Kerr - Head Weightlifting Coach
Sport has always been a big part of Vanessa's life. Competing in athletics and netball at a national and state level since the age of 12. She was introduced to CrossFit and Weightlifting later on in life when she joined Locus Strength and Conditioning. She now competes in 69kg division for NSW and Qualified for the Masters Nationals in Hobart 2016. She loves the challenge of weightlifting and is passionate to teach others.
Vanessa's qualifications:

- Australian weightlifting federation level 1 coach
- Cert lll and lV in fitness
- Master Trainer
- Senior first aid and resuscitation cert


Matt Baitieri - Coach
Sport has always been a huge part Matt's life. When he was younger he suffered two knee ACL ruptures. As a consequence of these injuries, he decided to dedicate his life to sports performance and rehabilitation of injuries. In 2009, Matt became a personal trainer. After several years of working at various gyms, gaining valuable experience, he decided to start CrossFit New Beginning. When Matt's not at the gym, he can usually be found on a golf course somewhere!

Nolan Cody - Coach
Nolan has a diverse and extensive education in exercise performance, strength and conditioning that has been developed over 10 years of industry experience. He has competed and trained at National and State levels in athletics, ice hockey and swimming since the age of 13 and incorporates this vast depth of hands on experience into his coaching style. Nolan is a student of the OPEX coaches certification program and continues to expand his knowledge in all areas of physical performance. If Nolan isn't coaching a class he will be in the gym training himself, or doing joining the other members for a workout… or eating, two of his favourite activities!
Nolan's qualifications include:
- OPEX Programming, Assessment and Nutrition certifications
- Certificate III and IV in Business sales and Team Management
- Certificate III and IV in Fitness
- CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Course
- Senior First Aid and Resuscitation Cert

Whilst CrossFit is the core of what we teach, we also offer a number of other popular personal training options for any occasion that suits you upon request. All of our personal training packages come nutritional guidance and a full body assessment.
